Eagles finish in fifth place with a three-round total of 914
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Junior Graham Hill fired a seven-over-par 223 (78-77-68) to finish in a tie for sixth place here at the Seconal Annual Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion University, Feb. 26-27. Marquette University's Mike Van Sickle took home medalist honors with a three-under 213 (73-69-71).
As a team, the Eagles finished fifth with a team score of 914 (311-307-296) as the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga claimed the tournament title carding with a 897 (300-303-294). Senior Bryan Haase followed with a 228 (79-77-72), while sophomore Chris Ross and junior Joey Stimac tied for 38th place with a 234. Freshman Cam Burke rounded out the lineup with a 236 (77-76-83). Playing as an individual, freshman Marty Jeppesen recorded rounds of 82, 82 and 81 to finish 65th.
Head coach Bruce Cunningham's Eagles will return to action at the Mision Inn Collegiate Invitational in in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., March 10-11.
