Complimentary admission for toy donation
YPSILANTI, Mich. — EMU Athletics will be partnering with the Toys for Tots Program during the men’s basketball game against Detroit on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007.
Anyone that brings a new, unwrapped toy to the game will receive complimentary admission to the game. Fans who do not bring a toy will be able to purchase one on-site at the Toys for Tots table to make their donation right there.
Fans can make their donation in the atrium of the Convocation Center, where they will receive a voucher that can be redeemed at the ticket window for a complimentary ticket. Fans making a donation will also receive a discounted coupon to the concession stand.
This year marks the 60th year of the Toys for Tots program, a tradition of the United States Marine Corps Reserves that has helped provide over 370 million toys to over 173 million needy children since its inception in 1947.
