Men's Golf Ties for Sixth at the Brickyard Collegiate Championship

Senior Graham Hill finished tied for 16th place with a 215
MACON, Ga. – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team wrapped up a successful three-days at the inaugural Brickyard Collegiate Championship Tuesday afternoon here at the par 72, 7,155 yard Brickyard at Riverside course. Competing against some of the nation's best, the Eagles shot a final-round 294 to finish tied for sixth place with Furman University with a 54-hole total of 872.
Senior Graham Hill (Brights Grove, Ontario-Northern Collegiate (Indiana (Pa.)) was the top finishing Eagle in a tie for 16th place with a one-under 215 (70-69-76). Junior Christopher Ross (Dundas, Ontario-Parkside) finished tied for 24th with a two-over 218 (72-75-71). Sophomore Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) and redshirt freshman Brad Larente (Cambridge, Ontario-Hespeler Secondary) tied for 39th place with a 222. Sophomore Brandon Lemons (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) rounded out the lineup in 65th place with a 230 (74-81-75).
No. 11 Georgia (278-273-280=831) held onto its lead to take the team title edging out second-place Clemson (277-276-286=839).
Georgia’s Harris English (65-71-67=203) led after the first round, but teammate Brian Harman (68-66-71=205) was the leader heading into today’s final round. English regained the lead and held on to win individual medalist honors.
Head coach Bruce Cunningham's crew returns to action Monday, Oct. 15, at the Mizuno Southbridge Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia Southern University in Savannah, Ga.
