YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan will bring manager Jim Leyland, several players and the American League Championship Trophy to the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center Thursday, Jan. 18. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and last until 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Free tickets are available by calling the Convocation Center at 734.487.2282.
This will be the Tigers only public appearance in Washtenaw County.
Dan Dickerson, the voice of the Tigers, will emcee a question and answer session with Leyland and the players. There also will be free giveaways and the showing of a highlight video.
Following the free portion of the program is an exclusive VIP Reception in the Stadium Club with the Tigers. Tickets are $75 each and are available on a first come-first serve basis. A portion of the proceeds will go to the EMU baseball and softball programs. To reserve a ticket, contact the EMU Ticket Office at 734.487.2282.
