ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Junior Graham Hill fired a one-under-par 212 (71-70-71) to finish in a tie for fifth place here at the Wolverine Intercollegiate at the U-M Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich., Sept. 16-17. Oregon State's Mitch Gillis took home medalist honors with a six-under 207 (65-70-72).
As a team, the Eagles tied for fifth with a team score of 866 (292-282-292) as the University of Wisconsin ran away with the tournament title carding a 851 (285-279-287). Sophomore Chris Ross followed with a 213 (69-72-72), while junior Joey Stimac added a 220 (76-71-73). Senior Bryan Haase and freshman Marty Jeppesen rounded out the lineup with a 221 (76-69-76) and a 225 (76-72-77), respectively. Competing as an individual, senior Clay Poff tied for 31st place with a five-over 218 (72-71-75).
Head coach Bruce Cunningham's Eagles will return to action at the Xavier Invitational Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 2-3, at the Oasis Golf Club in Loveland, Ohio. The 54-hole event will be contested on the par-72, 6,921-yard course with 36 holes played on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
