Haase Ties for Ninth at Xavier Invite

LOVELAND, Ohio – Senior Bryan Haase fired a career-best seven-under-par 209 (66-70-73) to finish in a tie for ninth place here at the Xavier Invitational here at the Oasis Golf Club in Loveland, Ohio, Oct. 2-3. Xavier's Jason Kokrak took home medalist honors with a 14-under 202 (65-69-68).

As a team, the Eagles finished ninth with a team score of 856 (280-287-289) as the host Musketeers ran away with the tournament title carding a 830 (276-284-270). Junior Graham Hill followed with a 212 (69-75-68), while redshirt freshman Brandon Lemons added a 218 (72-73-73). Sophomore Chris Ross and junior Joey Stimac rounded out the lineup with a 223 (76-69-78) and a 226 (73-78-75), respectively.

Playing as an individual, senior Clay Poff recorded rounds of 72, 73 and 83 to tie for 84th.

Head coach Bruce Cunningham's Eagles will return to action at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 21-22, in Beallsville, Md. The Eagles will be looking for their third consecutive Hoya tournament crown, as the team has won the event in 2004 and 2005.
