Senior John Bowler led the Eagles with 23 points and eight rebounds
FARGO, N.D. -- North Dakota State used a 52 point second-half to knock off the EMU men’s basketball team, 87-65, at the Bison Sports Arena in Fargo, N.D. Saturday, Nov. 26. The Eagles held a slim one-point lead at the half, 36-35, before the Bison took control in the second-half shooting 76.2 percent from the floor (16-of-21). Senior John Bowler turned in a 23 points and eight rebounds while freshman Carlos Medlock added 10 points in the setback.
North Dakota State outrebounded the Eagles 37-24.
The score was tied four times and the lead changed seven times in the game. The Eagles led 36-35 at the half but the Bison pulled away in the second. North Dakota State was up by 25 points with 1:53 to play in the game.
The Bison shot 55 percent from the field and made nine of 21 3-pointers. The Eagles had a 42 percent field goal percentage and made only three of 13 3-pointers.
Eastern returns to the friendly confines of the Convocation Center Tuesday, Nov. 29, to tangle with Detroit at 7 p.m. The contest will be shown on Comcast Local television (Channel 8 in the Ypsilanti area).
