Cross Country Hosts Fall Classic

YPSILANTI, Mich.- -The Eastern Michigan University cross country teams hosted the EMU Fall Classic here Friday at Eagle Crest Golf Course. For the men, six EMU runners finished in the top-20 of the 8K race.
Freshman David Brent posted an eighth place finish with a time of 25:14.7 and was directly followed by senior Tom Clifford with a time of 25:20.4. Sophomore Jeff Hubbard’s 25:21.9 time was good enough for an 11th-place finish. Only eight-tenths of a second seperated junior Wade Wines and freshman R.P. White, who finished 14th and 15th respectively. Sophomore Jacob DuBois finished in 18th place with a time of 26:.03.0.
For the women in the 5K race, sophomore Consolata Kisang led all EMU runners with a seventh place finish and a time of 18:40.5. Senior Lauren Snell finished in 10th place with a time of 18:45.7. Senior Lindsay Abdul-Haqq finished in 19:32.5 for a 20th-place finish. Senior Amy Zacharski finished in 22nd and was followed by freshman Melissa Green, with times of 19:46.8 and 19:50.0 respectively.
