Outstanding football player and trackman at EMU... Earned five varsity letters in those two sports... Named first-team Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) football in 1955 and second-team in 1954... Selected Most Valuable Player on the 1955 EMU football team... Led the 1954 football squad in scoring with 66 points, trying for second in the Michigan collegiate ranks... Top rusher for the '54 Hurons with 530 yards... Led the '55 football squad in scoring with 42 points... Returning a kickoff 87 yards against Central Michigan in the 1955 matchup... Scored the only touchdown in a 7-2 Homecoming win over Southern Illinois in 1955... Helped lead Eastern to the IIAC co-championship in both 1954 and 1955... Taught in the Los Angeles Community College system for more than 20 years.
