Outstanding three-time football letterman... Named first-team All-Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) in 1952 and 1953... Led the team in rushing in 1953... Went on to become one of the top high school coaches in the state of Michigan for more than 25 years... Coached high school football at Tecumseh, Ann Arbor Huron, West Bloomfield and Ypsilanti... His teams won 10 league football titles and a Class B state championship... Inducted into the charter class of the state of Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 1984... Also named regional Coach of the Year seven times... Started and operates a successful business, Coaches Carpet Care.
