Earned nine varsity letters, in football, basketball, and baseball...Led the EMU basketball team in scoring in 1960-61 at 20.9 points a game... Selected to the All-Interstate Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) second team in 1960-61... Completed his basketball career with a 14.6 average... Led the 1959 football team in receiving a scoring... Went on to coach basketball, baseball, and golf at Southgate Aquinas and led them to five league basketball titles, four district crowns and one regional championship while never suffering a losing season... Names the Mellus Newspapers Coach of the Year three times in basketball... Inducted into the Catholic League Coaches' Hall of fame in 1986 and also named Athletic Director of the Year by the National Association of P.E. Teachers and Athletic Directors... Selected the state of Michigan Athletic Director of the Year in 1985.
