Outstanding football, basketball, and baseball player at EMU... Played on the 1931 baseball team that won a league title... Went on to coach baseball and football for more than 41 years at Clarenceville and Flat Rock High School... In his 32 years at Flat Rock, he led the baseball team to 20 league championships and the football squad to two league titles... Flat Rock High School's football field was dedicated in his honor... Also honored at Tiger Stadium as Amateur Coach of the Decade... Member of the Michigan High School Coaches' Hall of Fame... Member of the Willie Heston Athletic Hall of Fame.
