Played football and ran track... Won the 100- and 200-yard dashes in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships and also in the Michigan Collegiate Conference (MCC) Championships... Played on football teams that won 30 and lost twice in four years... Helped lead the football team to the MIAA title in 1926... Taught and coached in the Detroit Public School League and was the Detroit Southeastern High School principle for seven years... Served as a high school football, track and basketball coach.
