Football: Earned two varsity letters in 1967 and 1968 as a two-year starting offensivelineman...Played guard in 1967, earning all-Michigan NAIA honors...Was named a first-team College Division All-America center on both the American Football Coaches Association and Kodak College Division teams in 1968...Was named the winner of the Elton J. Rynearson award in 1968 for combining athletic excellence and academic success...Was a team co-captain as a senior...Had a free agent tryout with the Kansas City Chiefs after graduation.
