Three-sport star at Michigan Normal and won 12 varsity letters, three each in football, basketball, and baseball... Captain if the 1938-39 basketball team... After college, he played three years for the Dow Athletic Club in Flint... From 1945-55 he was the Dow Athletic Club coach, athletic director, basketball, and football director... Manager of the 1948 Dow softball team that won the national championship... Also managed the 1951 Dow team that won the World's Amateur Fast pitch Softball title... Earned five battle stars in special services during World War II.
