Won 12 varsity letters in football, baseball, and basketball... Names first-team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) twice in football... Played on the 1925 football team that went 8-9 and scored 106 points to their opponent's six... Captain of the 1926 football team that went 6-1 with six shutouts... Competed on the 1925-26 basketball team... Became the Eastern head baseball coach from 1928-35 and the head basketball coach from 1932-35... Was the head football coach at Bowling Green State University from 1935-40... Returned to Eastern to coach football from 1949-51... Received the Boys' Club Silver Keystone Award for outstanding contributions to that club.
