Originally from England, Dave was the first great distance runner under Coach Parks...Was the first of only two runners to make All-American four times (NAIA)...Finished among the top 10 twice in the National AAU meet, won six NAIA individual titles in track, was a silver medalist in the 10,000 at the 1967 Pan-Am Games and represented Canada at the 1968 Olympics running in the 5,000m and 10,000m events ...Best times of 14:10.44, 4:05, 8:44.44 (2 mile) and 29:20.04 (10,000)...Ellis was inducted into the EMU Hall of Fame in 1986.
