Was a standout football player... Earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern and added a master's from Wayne State... Was a member of the River Rouge Board of Education for 39 years... Coached football, basketball, and track in the River Rouge School System... Was the Deputy Superintendent of Schools at River Rouge when retired in 1976... River Rouge named an elementary school after him... Received the Eastern Michigan University Distinguished Alumni Awards in 1978.
