Held the Penn Relays record for the 400-meter hurdles for 18 years... Set the school 220 yard low hurdles record that stood for 18 years... Member of the mile relay team that won the Penn Relay for three straight years... Narrowly missed qualifying for the 1936 United States Olympic team... Served as a teacher and principal in Ypsilanti for 39 years. Former president of the EMU Alumni Board of Directors.
