Had a distinguished military career and was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of both World War I and World War ll... Honorably discharged in 1953 as a Colonel... Founded the Detroit Education Day School for Adults in 1959... Served as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent in charge of Adult Education for the Detroit Public Schools... Was an elementary school principal from 1923-41.
