One of the most outstanding swimmers in EMU history... Won seven Mid-American Conference individual titles and swam on the championship relay teams... Named the MAC''s Outstanding Senior Swimmers in 1978... While a collegian, he also won Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for the United States in the Canada Cup International meet in 1977... Won the Mission Viejo (Cal.) swim meet and placed ninth in the U.S. AAU long course nationals in 1976... Placed eighth in the trials of the World Games and U.S. long course nationals in 1978... Placed 10th in the U.S. Nationals in 1979... Was an All-America swimmer at Farmington Harrison High School.
