Outstanding tack competitor under Dr. Lloyd W. Olds... Set a record for the 50-yard dash in Waterman Gym in Ann Arbor during the 1925 season... Names captain of the MEU track team in 1927... Held the MIAA record for the 220-yard dash... Also established Michigan AAU outdoor track records in the 100 and 200-yard dashes... Just missed making the U.S. Olympic Team when he, was edged by American greats Charlie Paddock and Jackson Schults... Went on to teach and coach for several years before opening his own business in Toledo, Ohio.
