Eastern Michigan Athletics
Warner Gymnasium

Warner Gymnasium, opened in 1964 and named for Joseph E. Warner, a Michigan House of Representatives member who played a key role in securing funding for the facility, serves as the primary practice venue for the Eastern Michigan University Gymnastics Program. Located within the Bowen Field House Complex, Warner Gymnasium houses coaches’ offices, a training room, a weight room, and classroom space, providing a comprehensive environment for athlete development.
While home gymnastics meets are now held in the George Gervin GameAbove Center, Warner has historically hosted competitions and continues to support daily training, skill development, and team preparation.
In 2008, the facility underwent a significant upgrade with the installation of a new pit, enhancing tumbling and acrobatic training capabilities and allowing the program to refine techniques safely and efficiently. Warner Gymnasium remains an integral part of EMU gymnastics, supporting both the athletic and academic growth of student-athletes while maintaining a legacy of nearly six decades of service to the university.
