Located inside the Olds-Robb Student Recreation/Intramural Complex, Jones Natatorium opened in 1982 as the home venue for the swimming and diving team. The pool is named after legendary EMU swim coach Michael H. Jones who coached the men’s team from 1968 until he retired in 1988.
The pool is an Olympic-sized 50M pool with spring (1M and 3M) and platform (5M, 7M, and 10M) diving boards. Jones Natatorium has also held numerous state and local swimming and diving competitions.
Our divers train in a beautiful 50m x 25 yd pool, using the following equipment for our diving program:Indoor diving facility

- Two 1 meter springboards
- Two 3 meter springboards on concrete
- 5, 7.5 & 10 meter platforms with rough-tex surfacing
- Bubbler system to accelerate learning
- 1 meter springboard water spotting rig
- 3 meter springboard water spotting rig
- 5 meter platform water spotting rig ( first one in the nation)
- Three trampolines, two with spotting rigs
- 2 dry boards, one with spotting rig
- Floor/Platform spotting rig
- Somersaulting simulator chair
- 30x6’ carpeted spring floor
- Two 30'x6’carpeted foam floors
- Five 32 inch flat screens with Tivo systems on all dryland and water stations
- 8 sets of stall bars
- 5 speaker surround sound system in dry gym
