From the Desk of the Head Coach Ron English
Our coaching staff has been out spring recruiting. They have been evaluating high school seniors who will be graduating in 2012. Our staff recruited Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, and California areas.
Our players returned at the beginning of the month and have started spring classes and workouts with our sports performance staff. I am very pleased to say every player returned following their winter semester to train with the sports performance staff. It shows they have bought in and they continue to have a unity of vision to reach our goal, and that is to win the MAC Championship.
Please take note of the following events taking place in the month of June. June 11th is our annual golf outing at the Eagle Crest Golf Course. Proceeds from the event will support the football locker room renovation project. The plan for the project is to replace all existing metal lockers with oak lockers, featuring seating, secure areas for personal items and shoulder pad racks. The team building will also receive a face-lift to include a fresh coat of paint, carpet replacement throughout and an update of furniture in the players’ lounge. Numerous naming opportunities are available for the project. Naming rights include individual lockers at $2,000 each and leadership naming levels at $10,000 and up.
