Callum Robinson Set to Compete at 2023 Pan-American Games

Robinson will run the 200m dash Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 5:15 p.m. EST, with the finals coming Thursday, Nov. 2, at 6:10 p.m.
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University track and field sprinter Callum Robinson (Goderich, Ontario/St. Anne's Catholic Secondary School/Simon Fraser) is set to compete in the 2023 Pan-American Games in Santiago, Chile, where he will represent Canada. Robinson will race in the 200m semifinals, Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 5:15 p.m. EST, with the finals coming Thursday, Nov. 2, at 6:10 p.m. EST.

It will be Robinson's third time competing for his native Canada as he previously competed at the 2023 North America Central America and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Championships in the 200m, capturing gold in 20.52, and at the Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships, July 27-30, 2023, where he ran the 200 dash in 20.57 for a fifth-place finish.
In his first indoor season donning the block E, Robinson claimed victory in the 200m and 300m at the Bowling Green State University Falcon Early Bird Open, running the 200 in 21.72 and the 300 in 33.91, Jan. 14, 2023. He also served as a pivotal leg in Eastern's winning 4x400m relay team (3:19.25) at the Wolverine Invite, Jan. 7, 2023.
In the outdoor season, Robinson clocked a 200m personal-best in the preliminary round at the MAC Championships meet, sprinting the distance in 20.73, May 11-13, 2023. The junior was part of the Eagles' 4x400m relay team that placed fifth at the conference meet, and ran a PR in 400m at the Mt. SAC Relays, Apr. 13-15, in 47.53.
Before arriving in Ypsilanti, Robinson was a two-time Division II All-American and six-time Division II All-West Region runner at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Robinson holds Great Northeast Athletic Conference records in the 200m and the distance medley relay, and placed second in the distance medley relay at the 2022 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.
