Earned six varsity letters, four in football and two in baseball... Served Eastern Michigan as a player, coach and E-Letterwinners Club president... Assistant football coach at EMU from 1950-1951... Coached and taught at Highland Park High School from 1952-64... Returned to EMU in 1964 as an assistant football coach... Assistant basketball coach at EMU from 1964-66... Named EMU's head football coach in 1965 and served through 1966... Coached and taught in high school before joining Highland Park Community College as a registrar and director of admissions, a position he held for more than 30 years before retiring... Charter member of the EMU Football Bust Committee as well as the EMU Dugout Club...Passed away Feb. 19, 2018, at the age of 89
