Earned four varsity football letters... Played on the 1925 football team that won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship with 8-0 record... Captain of the 1927 football team that won the Michigan Collegiate Conference (MCC) title with an 8-0 record... Began his coaching career in 1927 as the basketball and baseball coach at Cleary College... From 1928-37 he was the athletic director, football, basketball, and baseball coach at Plymouth High School... Selected to the Michigan Sports Sages organization in 1970... Was an original member of the EMU Football Bust Committee.
