Our mission is to take the student-athlete where he cannot take himself. We foster an environment that teaches young men to:
1. Relentlessly pursue and win the MAC Championship.
2. Appreciate and embrace cultural diversity.
3. Achieve an exemplary foundation of leadership and academic success.
In addition, our objective is to collaborate with the EMU President’s Office, athletic director, head football coach and his staff, the EMU Student Body, and our fellow Alumni worldwide.
During the past three years the E-Gridiron Group has helped to raise nearly $700,000. This is the largest amount of actual gifts received to date for a non-facility related project by a single group in EMU Athletics history. This has helped to provide the football program with numerous upgrades and is helping to level the playing field with the rest of the MAC.
Since that official beginning in 2006, the E-Gridiron Group has expanded its goals and objectives to include not only fund-raising, but developing a broader membership program targeted at former football players, which will eventually be expanded to all family and fans of EMU football this year. More than 300 former football players have joined thus far.
