CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University football team's games against Central Michigan University, Nov. 3, and the University of Akron, Nov. 10, will kickoff at 12 p.m. ET, the league office announced today, July 25. The Eagles and Chippewas have met a total of 96 times in their respective histories, with CMU leading the all-time series by a 60-29-6 tally. EMU was victorious the last time the two in-state foes met in Ypsilanti, closing out the regular season with a 26-21 come-from-behind victory, Nov. 22, 2016.
Eastern Michigan and Akron will then battle on Senior Day, as EMU honors its 18-man senior class. It will mark the first meeting since the 2015 season when the Zips spoiled the Eagles' Homecoming, 47-21, Oct. 10. Overall, Akron holds a 19-12 edge against Eastern all-time.
