– Eastern Michigan University redshirt senior Alsu Bogdanova (Kazan, Russia-Lyceum #83) capped off the Eagles' season today, June 9, in Eugene, Ore. at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Bogdanova took part in the 3000m steeplechase championship, where she raced to a finishing time of 9:59.29 to place 10th. Based on her finish, the Kazan, Russia native earned Second Team All-American honors.

Although her career came to a close, Bogdanova solidified herself as an EMU great, earning All-American honors and being named a Mid-American Conference Champion in both indoor and outdoor track, as well as cross country. Furthermore, Bogdanova cemented herself in Eastern history with several of the school's top times in multiple events.

With that, Eastern's season has come to an end. The Eagles will now turn their attention to training for next season, but will have a much deserved rest coming up next.
