The Eagles open the season on the road for the first time since 2015
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University Head Soccer Coach Scott Hall released the Eagles' 2018 schedule Wednesday, May 23. The 20-game slate includes 10 home games at Scicluna Field, including a pair of three-game homestands.
For the first time since the 2015 campaign and just the second time in the past eight seasons, Eastern Michigan will open the year on the road. EMU kicks off 2018 under the lights at Purdue, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. The season-opening clash with the Boilermakers marks the first meeting between the two squads since 2003. Eastern returns for a three-game homestand, beginning with a Friday tilt against Detroit Mercy, Aug. 24. Eastern finishes up the three-game home stint as host to Creighton Friday, Aug. 31. The Eagles and Bluejays will square off for the first time ever at noon, before the EMU football opens its 2018 season Friday night at 6 p.m. against Monmouth inside "The Factory".

Following non-conference play, the Eagles turn their attention to a grueling 11-game Mid-American Conference slate, vying for one of the coveted top-eight spots to qualify for the 2018 MAC Women's Soccer Tournament.
The Green and White will host MAC East Division foes Kent State, Sept. 21, and Ohio, Sept. 23, to begin #MACtion, before traveling to Akron, Sept. 28, and Buffalo, Sept. 30.
After a rare Thursday conference bout against reigning MAC Tournament Champion Toledo, Oct. 4, EMU hits the road for its final away games of the regular season. The three-game roadtrip begins at Bowling Green, Oct. 7, before Eastern travels to Northern Illinois, Oct. 12, and Western Michigan, Oct. 14.
The Eagles conclude the regular season with three straight home games. The last weekend of the regular season sees EMU host Miami, Oct. 18, and Ball State, Oct. 21. Then, for the third straight year Eastern Michigan faces off against in-state foe Central Michigan in its regular season finale Thursday, Oct. 25.
Postseason play begins Sunday, Oct. 28 and culminates with the MAC Tournament Championship, Nov. 4. The first rounds of the NCAA Tournament will be held, Nov. 9-11, while the second and third rounds will take place, Nov. 16-18. Elite eight games will be played, Nov. 23-24, and the NCAA College Cup will be, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, in Cary, N.C.
