Rowing Returns to Action at Cooper Invitational

Action gets underway at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 8
PENNSAUKEN TWP., N.J. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University rowing team returns to action at the Cooper Invitational Sunday, April 8, on the Cooper River in Pennsauken Twp., N.J. The regatta will provide the Eagles with experience on the same river in which they will compete for a Colonial Athletic Association Championship next month.
EMU will race alongside boats from the CAA, Patriot League, and Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference in the inaugural event.
Returning to the water for the first time since scrimmaging the University of Alabama in late February, the Eagles look to build upon its spring training trip. Eastern Michigan went toe-to-toe with Alabama in a series of set pieces on Black Warrior River, Feb. 24, besting a pair of UA's Varsity 8+ crews in the process.
Action gets underway at 7:30 a.m. with the Varsity 4+, followed by the 2V8+ at 7:50 a.m. and then the 1V8+ at 8:10 a.m. Finals will then take place at 9:50 a.m., 10:10 a.m., and 10:30 a.m., respectively. Results will be posted here.
