Men's Golf Travels to the Kingsmill Intercollegiate

EMU returns to the tournament for the first time since 2014

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team returns to the road this weekend, traveling to the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, March 25-27. The 54-hole event will feature 24 teams in the field playing 18 holes each of the three days at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course. The course will be set up for a par of 70 and 6,794 yards.
Teams participating include: Air Force, Appalachian State, Binghamton, Delaware, Drexel, Eastern Michigan, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fort Wayne, George Washington, Iona, Longwood, Loyola, Old Dominion, Radford, Seton Hall, Radford, Seton Hall, Southern Illinois, St. Bonaventure, St. Francis (Pa.), St. Joseph's, Towson, Utah Valley, William & Mary, Xavier, and Youngstown State.
Playing this week for 25th-year Head Coach Bruce Cunningham will be senior Tyler Lewis (Ortonville, Mich.-Brandon-Mott CC), junior Beau Breault (Hartland, Mich.-Hartland), freshman Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary), freshman Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph's Catholic), and sophomore Zach Sudinsky (McKinney, Texas-Boyd-Stephen F. Austin).
The last time EMU appeared at the event was during the 2013-14 campaign, when the squad finished in seventh-place with an 879 (288-286-305). Michael Blair finished with a round of 77 to take 19th with a nine-over par 219 (70-72-77) at the then-Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate.
