EMU Tennis Inks Bianca Vitale for 2018-19 Class

The Eagles sign their second athlete for the 2018-19 campaign
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University Head Tennis Coach Jayson Wiseman announced the signing of Bianca Vitale (Bologna, Italy-Liceo Fermi Scientific Bologna-Broward) for the 2018-19 campaign, Thursday, Feb. 22.
"We are very excited to add Bianca to our team for Fall 2018," said Wiseman. "She is a proven winner not only as a junior player in Italy and on the ITF circuit, but also at the collegiate level."
Vitale has spent the last two years playing at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. In 2017, the Seahawks won the Florida State Junior College Championship, and Vitale was one of the main reasons for the team's success. Playing at No. 4, she won her flight at both the state and National Junior College Athletic Association Championship. While playing as a prep in Italy, Vitale played three years for C.T. Bologna.
"The junior college conference that she plays in now with Broward is the toughest in the country and she has had an excellent record in her last two seasons," added Wiseman. "She also brings championship experience to our team after being crowned the National Champion at the No. 4 position last season. Bianca is also an exceptional student who will be entering our engineering program. We look for Bianca to be a strong leader both on the court and in the classroom for our team next season."
The Bologna, Italy native is the second member of the 2018-19 EMU recruiting class, joining incoming freshman Nastasia Jedrychowski (Caen, France).
