A New Landing Spot Coming to "The Factory" in 2016

The Eagles Pride Outdoor Loge will replace the previous chairback seating area in the stadium
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The countdown is on! With the Eastern Michigan University football team's 125th campaign quickly approaching, Rynearson Stadium is buzzing with activity to get ready for the Friday, Sept. 2, contest. The most noticeable change to the 48-year-old venue will be the addition of the Eagles Pride Outdoor Loge, which replaces the chairback seating area located below the press box.
In total, 16 premium seating tables will be installed in section 105 on the 50-yard line. The tables are semicircular, featuring enough space for four occupants to have concessions products at their seat. The four mesh seats swivel 360 degrees for maximum mobility and comfort. All 16 tables have unimpeded sightlines to the field.
"Treating our fans to a new premium seating area in The Factory was a priority for us," said EMU Vice President/Director of Athletics Heather Lyke. "This area has great visibility and is a significant update from the former chairback seats. We have great expectations for the football season and hope fans will welcome this new area as we look to further enhance their gameday experience."
The cost of a table is $1,600, which includes a $1,000 donation to Eagles Pride and $150 per seat for the season tickets. Table purchasers also receive two VIP season parking passes, table side service for food/beverage, a special gift from EMU Football, and Eagles Pride donor benefits..
"Adding a new premium seating option for our donors and fans is a wonderful and needed upgrade to The Factory," added Dan McLean, EMU's Associate AD for Development. "The Eagles Pride Outdoor Loge will be a unique and awesome game experience."
The loge replaces the weathered seating area that was originally installed in 1991 during the stadium expansion project.
Fans still wanting a chairback seat can also purchase the Ultimate Fan package for $99, which includes a padded seat on the 50 yard line, free parking, a food voucher and a VIP discount card to local businesses.
