Kathalay will look for playing time in the secondary in his final season as an Eagle
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – As the Eastern Michigan University football team continues practice this week, Eagle All-Access is helping count down the days until the start of the season with editions of "EMU Football Senior Spotlight." Redshirt-senior defensive back Oliver Kathalay (Mississauga, Ontario-Avondale, Ga.) is featured in today's segment.
In his final season as an Eagle, Kathalay will look to make a spark in the EMU secondary. The Mississauga, Ontario native started out his EMU football career as a wide receiver, before switching to the other side of the ball to play defensive back for the Green and White.
Under first year Head Coach Chris Creighton, the Eagles are preparing for an exciting 2014 season. EMU will open its 123rd season on the gridiron with a non-conference home game against Morgan State Saturday, Aug. 30, in Rynearson Stadium. Single game and season tickets are now on sale online at EMUEagles.com, by calling 734.487.2282 or by visiting the EMU Ticket Office daily between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Single game ticket prices start at just $12 for adults and $5 for youth 12-and-under.
