EMU Announces 2013 Football Television Dates

Eagles to make at least four appearances on the small screen

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Mid-American Conference announced its television schedule for the 2013 football season Tuesday afternoon, June 18.  Eastern Michigan University will appear on the ESPN family of networks two times with one appearance on the Big Ten Network and another on the CBS Sports Network.

The Eagles, playing all but one of their games on Saturday in 2013, open the season with back-to-back games on television beginning with the season opener against Howard on Aug, 31. Eastern Michigan hosts the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference foe for the third time at Rynearson Stadium on ESPN3 at 6 p.m.

The next weekend, EMU will kick off at noon when the Green and White travel to Penn State on Sept. 7.  The Nittany Lions and Eagles will battle on the Big Ten Network.

EMU then travels to Buffalo on Oct. 5 for a noon kick that will air on ESPN Regional Television/ESPN GamePlan.  The Eagles' final game scheduled to be televised is at Army, Oct. 12, airing live on the CBS Sports Network.  Game time between the Eagles and Black Knights is scheduled for noon from Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y..

The season finale at Central Michigan, Nov. 29, may also be selected for either ESPNU or ESPN3. ESPN reserves the right to select other games throughout the season utilizing its contracted 12-day selection rights.  More information on those games selected will be announced as that information becomes available.

All games airing on the ESPN family of networks are also available on the WatchESPN app and WatchESPN.com.

Eastern Michigan has also established 1 p.m. start times for its remaining home schedule.  EMU hosts Ball State, Sept. 21 for the  86th Annual Homecoming Game.  The Eagles then host Ohio, Oct. 19, for Band Day followed by Nov. 9 against Western Michigan and Nov. 23 versus Bowling Green. The contests will again be available to be viewed on Eagle All-Access on EMUEagles.com.

Kick times for all remaining road games will be announced at a later date
