‘Eastern Michigan All-Access’ to Premier on Fox Sports Detroit

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the inner-workings of a Division I Athletic Department via a partnership with Fox Sports Detroit (FSD). The series titled "Eastern Michigan All-Access" will document the football, men's basketball and women's basketball programs along with features on EMU athletics as a whole throughout the 2012-13 campaign.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for our fans throughout Michigan and parts of the nation to get a behind-the-scenes perspective into our athletics programs,” said Dr. Derrick Gragg, Director of Athletics. “We will showcase student-athletes who are driven to success on the field and in the classroom. This is not your typical coaches show, but a professionally produced program that will also feature the wonderful campus experience we provide for all students.”
“We are very excited to partner with our first Mid-American Conference school on a sports show,” said Greg Hammaren, senior vice president/general manager, Fox Sports Detroit. “We are committed to covering the finest in collegiate athletics and value the rich history of EMU athletics and its many contributions to the sports world.”
The first five half-hour shows throughout the months of August, September, October and November will highlight the football team, while the final five shows shift the attention indoors and towards the basketball programs in December.

The premiere episode is slated for first run on Monday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. with numerous additional re-airs. Included in the first show are interviews with Head Football Coach Ron English, highlights of the fall camp and previews of both the offensive and defensive units. All-access video will also be showcased, with video and audio from inside the Eagles' huddle.
The Eagles will open their 121st season on the gridiron Thursday, Aug. 30, at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Ind. against Mid-American Conference foe Ball State.
