John Chaney Comes Up Big at Game of Your Life Tournament

AKRON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University sophomore-to-be John Chaney (Shaker Heights, Ohio-Gimour Academy) won the Game of Your Life (G.O.L.F.) Tournament Series opener at the Firestone Country Club, May 27-28. This was the first event in a nine-event tour that runs from May 27-Aug. 10 and is played in nine different cities around the Midwest.
Chaney beat out 18 other golfers from around the country to win the two day 36-hole tournament with a four-under par 134 (67-69).
Last year's tourney champs for both men and women were Sean Keating of the University of Dayton and Sarah Johnson (Wixom, Mich.-Walled Lake Central) of EMU. The tournament was open to all members of the 2012 Taylormade Adidas Collegiate Series (TACS).
Game Of Your Life (G.O.L.F.) Foundation Tournament
The Game Of Your Life Foundation (G.O.L.F.) is a non-profit organization founded in 1994 by Rolla N. Frisinger of Coldwater, MI. G.O.L.F is now entering its 14th season of competition, and has seen over 13,000 young people participate in professionally run tournaments at quality facilities. The Game Of your Life Foundation is proud of the many ways it has supported the game of golf through awarding $225,000 in scholarships to deserving young people and contributing over 2 million dollars to golf facilities.
The G.O.L.F Foundation also has a facility which has been designed to provide a complete quality practice and learning environment, as well as, providing the finest in golf equipment and apparel at discount prices.
