JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team had its final pair of athletes compete in the 2012 NCAA East Preliminary Round Saturday, May 26. Lydia Gomez-Diaz and Angela Scarber each tossed in the hammer throw at Hodges Stadium.
Scarber took 31st with a 175-feet and 11-inch toss, while Gomez-Diaz threw 169-feet and five-inches, good for 41st.
Asia Rawls will be the only member of the women's track and field team to compete at the 2012 NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, June 6-9. She will take part in the 400-meter hurdles.
