EMU Men's Hoops Announces Television Dates

Eagles to host three televised games and hit the road for four in 2012-13

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team will be part of at least seven televised games during the 2012-13 campaign.
The EMU-Syracuse game set for Monday, Dec. 3, at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., will be a televised on ESPNU with a 7 p.m. tipoff. The Purdue-Eastern Michigan game Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Convocation Center will appear on ESPN3 at 2 p.m. Also, when the Eagles travel to Lexington, Ky. for a matchup with defending national champion Kentucky Wednesday, Jan. 2, the game will appear on ESPNU with a 6 p.m. scheduled start time.
Head Coach Rob Murphy's Eagles will have four games televised as part of the Mid-American Conference television package which will be aired on SportsTime Ohio, Comcast Michigan (channel 900), Comcast Indiana (channel 81) and Comcast Sports Net Chicago.
The first of the games covered in the MAC package will be Saturday, Jan. 13, when the Green and White travels to Bowling Green for a 6 p.m. tip with the Falcons. Eastern will then host in-state rival Central Michigan Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. Eastern's next televised game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2, when the Eagles travel to Kent State for a 6 p.m. matchup, and the final game of the MAC package will be Wednesday, Feb. 6, when EMU plays host to Buffalo for a 7 p.m. contest.
In addition to the four regular-season games, there are 10 wildcard spots available in which the Eagles could attain another televised game on ESPN and/or with the MAC package.
In addition to those seven television appearances, the remaining EMU home basketball contests will be streamed live on Eagle All-Access. Eagle All-Access is a "virtual stadium" – a seamless Internet experience – where viewers can follow many of EMU's athletic programs and all of the Eagles' content they desire without ever having to leave home. Subscription packages are just $6.95 for a 24-hour pass, $10.95 for an entire month or $79.95 for a full calendar year.
The Eagles will open the season with a Friday, Nov. 2, exhibition game against the University of Michigan-Dearborn, set for a 7:30 p.m. tip at the Convocation Center. EMU is slated to open the regular season with a Friday, Nov. 9, noon game with Rochester College.
