Baird schedules tryouts for September 9
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University Head Softball Coach Karen Baird announced that an open softball tryout will take place on September 9, at 1:45 p.m. at Varsity Field.
All walk-on tryout participants must not only have the insurance form filled out, but must have proof of insurance (insurance card or copy) as well. Participants must also have documentation for any injuries they have had and these may need to be reviewed by the physician before they are allowed to engage in any physical activity.
Participants are asked to bring their own gloves, cleats, bats and helmets. Players interested in trying out must also present a current physical to the athletic training staff beforehand, and must also have been accepted for admission to EMU. Those players who are not yet 18 years of age must have a waiver signed by a parent.
For more information, please contact Assistant Coach Eric Oakley at eoakley@emich.edu or 734.487.2274.
