YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University freshman gymnast Kaylyn Millick (Washington, Pa.-Trinity) and junior gymnast Nikole Viltz (Hawthorn Woods, Ill.-Carmel) have earned spots to compete at the 2010 NCAA Central Regional Saturday, April 10, at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Ky. The competition is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Millick will compete as an all-around performer, while Viltz earned a bid to compete on the balance beam.

Millick was the Eagles' top all-around performer all season long, as she finished the regular season with three consecutive all-around victories at the University of California Davis Invite, Eagle Invitational, and at Ball State University. In just her first season, Millick already ranks as one of EMU's top 10 all-around performers of all-time. The Washington, Pa. native posted career-high marks of 9.850 on the balance beam, 9.825 in the floor exercise, 9.775 on the vault, and 9.750 on the bars, while tallying a career-best 39.000 all-around score at Ball State, March 21. Millick goes into the April 10 competition ranked as the No. 21 all-around performer with a 38.583 average.

Viltz has been one of the Eagles' most consistent performers all season long, carding a season-high 9.800 on the apparatus at Ball State, March 21. Viltz averaged a 9.533 on the vault through the course of the season, ranking her 43rd in the region going into the April 10 competition.

Senior Erin Grigg (North Bay, Ontario-Widdifield) was selected as an all-around alternate for Millick, as well as an alternate on the vault for Bowling Green State University's Danielle Wishart.
