YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Internet Consulting Services, Inc. (ICS) have teamed up to create a brand new broadband channel, Eagle All-Access, that offers exclusive EMU content. Eagle All-Access is available for Eastern Michigan fans who want to get unlimited access to Eagles' games live and on-demand.
"The latest upgrade to EMUEagles.com will give the Eagle Nation, from anywhere in the world, the opportunity to better stay in touch with our athletics program, said Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations Greg Steiner. "We are excited about the future opportunities with this increased on-line presence."
Eagle All-Access is a "virtual stadium" – a seamless Internet experience – where viewers can follow all of EMU's athletic programs and all of the Eagles' content they desire without ever having to leave. It will be a one-stop-shop for live games, news conferences, coaches' interviews and up-to-the minute scores, news and highlights.
The broadband channel will include content from EMU's 21 varsity sports, including live game action of football, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball. Eagle sports fans can sign up for this in-depth coverage of Eastern Michigan through www.EMUEagles.com.
The first event to be featured on Eagle All-Access will be the 2009 football home opener versus Army, Sept. 5, from Rynearson Stadium. All five 2009 home football games along with select Mid-American Conference road games ,will be available live as part of the subscription. Meanwhile, if you can't watch the game live, a re-broadcast of the game will also be available.
Subscription packages are just $5.95 for a 24-hour pass, $9.95 for an entire month or $79.95 for a full calendar year.
Eagle All-Access utilizes Adobe Flash instead of the typical Windows Media Video (WMV) format. Adobe Flash Player, already installed on more than 98 percent of Internet-connected desktops, will enable fans to view the content, helping reach the largest possible Internet audience on virtually all major platforms and browsers.
