Daktronics installs new board to replace the previous board installed in 1992
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — In an effort to further enhance the fan experience at Rynearson Stadium, the Eastern Michigan University Athletics Department, in cooperation with Daktronics, Inc., is nearing completion on the installation of a video board and scoreboard, which will debut in time for the 2009 football season.
"This new scoreboard demonstrates the commitment Eastern Michigan University has for its football program," said Director of Athletics Dr. Derrick Gragg. "We strive to be the very best we can be, and having a Daktronics scoreboard of this magnitude will provide abundant benefits for our team, recruiting and the overall football game-day experience."
The size of the entire structure in the north end zone remains the same, but will now allow EMU to display graphics and video utilizing the latest in LED technology. This video display will use the latest Daktronics industry-leading technology and will sit side-by-side with a new LED scoreboard.
Additionally, Daktronics is also providing a Sportsound® 2000 audio system to EMU, which will deliver game announcements to every seat at Rynearson Stadium with power and clarity, thanks to a speaker cabinet measuring over 20 feet wide.
