Baseball to Host Open Tryouts

The EMU baseball team will hold open tryouts Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 8:30 p.m. at Oestrike Stadium.

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University head baseball coach Jay Alexander has announced the Eagles will hold open tryouts Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 8:30 p.m. at Oestrike Stadium.

Those interested in trying out are asked to first contact the EMU baseball office at 734-487-0315. There is a mandatory meeting Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Noon at the baseball office located in Bowen Field House.

Additionally, students must see the athletic training staff in the lower level of the Convocation Center to pick up an insurance form. Forms must be completed and turned at the pre-tryout meeting Tuesday, Sept. 8, at noon at Oestrike Stadium.

Players interested in trying out must also present a current physical to the athletic training staff beforehand and must also have been accepted for admission to EMU.
