Eagles Set for MACRA Regatta

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Coming off an impressive performance at the Indianapolis Invitational last weekend, the Eastern Michigan University rowing team is set to compete in the 45th Annual MACRA Regatta, May 2, on the Bass River Quarry in Ottawa County, Mich. First heats are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
In the women's varsity eight competition, the Eagles are set to compete against Cleveland State University, Ohio University, Lawrence University, University of Chicago, North Park University, Ohio State University, Grand Valley State University, Mercy Hurst College, Northwestern University, and Michigan State University.
At the Indianapolis Invitational last Saturday, April 25, the Eagles took home second place honors in their only race with a time of 9:02.10. Purdue University took home the title with a time of 8:31.90, followed by EMU, Marquette
After competing in the MACRA Regatta, the Eagles close their season in Oak Ridge, Tenn. with the South/Central Sprints, May 16-17.
