SPRING LAKE, Mich. – With no lake current and beautiful weather, the Eastern Michigan University rowing team competed in the America's “Other West Coast” Reggata Saturday morning, April 11, against the Lakers of Grand Valley State University.

The EMU first varsity eight crew had the best time of the day, finishing just behind GVSU with a time of 7:06.51. The Lakers won the race with a time of 6:49.29.

The EMU first novice eight crew finished with a time of 8:05.02, while the Eagles' two novice four boats finished at 9:41.58 and 8:42.68 against GVSU.

In the final race, the EMU varsity four crew finished just behind GVSU's two boats, as the Eagles finished with a time of 8:00.49 to wrap up action.

The Eagles are back in the water Saturday, April 25, when they head to Indianapolis, Ind. for the Indianapolis Invitational.
