Junior earns third weekly conference accolade of her career

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University junior golfer Darby Peters (Lake Orion, Mich.–Lake Orion) was named Mid-American Conference tri-Golfer of the Week for the period ending Oct. 28, 2009. She shares the award with the University of Akron's Kristen Hill and Kent State University's Mandi Morrow.

This marks the third time in her career she has collected the weekly award.

Peters led the way for the Eagles at the Ross Resorts Invitational, Oct. 26-27, firing a nine-over par 225 (74-73-78) to finish tied for fourth place. The top five showing was Peter's third of the fall and marked her sixth career top five finish and 11th career top 10 showing.

Eastern Michigan will return to action when it opens its spring schedule Feb. 14-16, 2010 at the Qdoba Collegiate Invitational in Miami, Fla.
